Best Chinese food in bel air, hands down. For the price you pay, you get more than enough food and it's delicious on top of that. I'd recommend getting a lunch special, the portions are huge and you don't even pay that much! If you live in bel air and are looking for Chinese, this is the place to go. Carry out only though.

My family ordered take out from Kim Wah to try it out since I live in the neighborhood. We ordered egg rolls, chicken wings, Beef Lo Mein, Triple Delight, and chicken fried rice. The food was ok. My dish was pretty good, I had the triple delight which consists of Shrimp, Chicken, and Beef w/ mixed vegetables in a brown sauce. Overall, this is my 2nd favorite Chinese eatry in Bel Air. Also, the chicken wings are the best in Bel Air Chinese Restaurant wise. I give Kim Wah 3 out of 5, I will def try the food again.

Great food... But beware of the cost! They don't put the prices on their menu or online. I was new to the neighborhood and decided to order for me and my boyfriend. Wonton soup, shrimp and broccoli and general tsos. Typical for dinner. Was expecting about 20 dollars... Was 34! Only thing that justified it was a TON of food and it was delish.

I'm beginning to think that more people post negative stuff here and don't spread the positive. I don't YELP much but I do when really bad and more so really good. Great food, great service. Simply put a great experience

Large portions. Good portion of meat in most dishes. All white meat General Tso is a good one. Mongolian beef is tender and tasty. I recommend!

For carry out in belair or forest hill this place is the best. Large portions, good taste, and timely service. Plus the price is reasonable. I will continue to order here as I've not had a bad meal in about 4 carry out orders. I'm not sure if you can eat in as it's mainly take away orders but there is a few tables.

Mae the owner is great. She tries very hard to make it right. Service is very fast. Mae will hook your meal to order with your dietary needs in mind.

I have eaten (carry out only) many times. Food is good and they are consistent with their quality/quantity. Price is fair and Mae will get it right.

Twenty minutes for chicken fried rice take out? Too long. I canceled my order. No need to return here.

Placed an order for carry out on a Friday night. It was ready 10 minutes sooner than their estimate. We ordered chicken chow mein, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, Hunan chicken, and egg rolls....and the order was correct. Our only negative was the Hunan chicken was barely spicy, and that is according to our tastes which run to the spicier side. All the rest was well prepared with regard to taste, texture and seasoning. The portion sizes were large enough that 2 family meals were had for the price of one. Value, quality and quantity of food, order accuracy and fast service on a busy night were all exceptional! On the whole compared to other non-chain west coast, midwest and east coast Chinese restaurants, this restaurant rates 4 1/2 stars because they have no dine-in capacity. Secondarily, it is an Americanized Chinese menu, albeit well executed. Kim Wah is not upscale like PF Chang; neither is it a divey or fast food chain restaurant like Panda Express or Happy Wok. It hits or exceeds the mark in just about every respect as to what Americans generally want for Chinese food. (See my reviews for Green Garden in Woodstock, IL and Golden Dragon in Grand Rapids, MI.)

Alot of food with a little flavor. We ordered from Kim wah on NYE based on reviews from yelp. The shrimp lo mein had a ton of noodles that were dry, very little shrimp or veggies. The shrimp fried rice was dry. We were extremely disappointed.

By far the best Chinese food around. Large portions and average prices. The staff there is friendly and knows our name by what we order. GREAT PLACE!!!!

Best Chinese food in Bel Air. It's cheaper and has better portions than the big name places. I gladly drive a crossed town to get their food.

Definitely a take out only Chinese place. There are a few chairs to sit in while you wait for your food but no tables. Call ahead and order your food so it's ready for pick up, we waited and it took about 15 minutes to cook 4 dishes. This place offers a quart or a pint sized entrees, as well as combo specials which include fried rice, soup and a small entree which was more than enough food for one. The lo mein was tasty. It's in the complex with all the businesses with the red store signages (flavor cupcakery, fiesta grill).

Sadly, I have to give Kim Wah a poor review. I had high expectations, and I was really looking forward to unearthing that next great hidden Chinese food treasure in Bel Air, but I was disappointed. We ordered the special Kim Wah wonton soup, the steamed dumplings, pork lo mein, pork fried rice, and BBQ spare ribs. The soup was good, but not great. The lo mein was below average. The rice was average, and the container was certainly over-flowing, but the flavor was not that great overall. It almost seemed like a non-native Chinese chef cooked it (or something). One high note would be the dumplings... They did seem to be made fresh onsite because the dough and the filling was scrumptious! I have nothing good to say about the spare ribs... The flavor of the sauce was just all wrong, and I can't explain it, but I only ate two (i tried the second one hoping it would be better, but it wasn't). Overall, I'm only giving them two stars because the steamed dumplings were outstanding, but the rest was pretty bad! Wok To Go up on Rt. 22 has better flavor.

Since I recently moved back to Bel Air I decided to try out Kim Wah since it was a new establishment that popped up since I last lived here. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and it was okay. The beef was in good sized pieces but maybe a little more could be added. I enjoyed the taste of the lo mein beside the fact it might have been on the dryer bland side. I would order from here again but maybe try something different.

Best Chinese take out in Bel Air. It is insanely cheap. $5 for lunch and a drink. Portions are HUGE. Oddly enough, one of the best chickens wings I've had from 50+ establishments from NYC to San Fran are here. They are seasoned perfectly. I always ask for drumsticks only and they don't mind.

I got sesame chicken and my mom got sweet and sour pork. The fried rice tasted odd, there was way too much sauce on the sesame chicken (it overflowed the takeout container) and the sweet and sour chicken was tough. While they took forever to make my food I heard the cashier argue with a customer on the phone, and after yelling about an egg roll mix-up she hung up on them. She then called the delivery guy and found out he had forgotten that customer's egg roll. Interesting. I will not eat from there again.

Favorite Chinese food. I will drive across town for this place. The employees are always very friendly and they have the best lunch specials. Carry out only:)

I order the beef and broccoli w/o rice, and they put a very generous amount in the container. I find the food good for a local Chinese place, it's pretty much on par with the rest of the take outs. The only drawback that I found was when I tried to phone my order in, and the fax came on. They don't have two separate lines, which they should. they might get more orders that way. I don't call anymore, because of that reason.

We are regulars here. The owner is friendly. The szechwan lo-mein is great! Combination Fried Rice, General Tso Chicken, all thumbs up! All the food we order is good. Good portion sizes. If you can catch a lunch special during the week, it's a good value, under $5, which includes a drink! Located next to Flavor cupcakes and Fritzies, across from Macy's furniture, conveniently located. Not much else to say- Food is good! (in fairness, there have been a couple of times, the chicken fell short- but hey, 8 or 9 out of 10, still ranks good in our book)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
